The GP Juniors Cup is for young riders of 12 – under 16 years of age. It will feature three rounds with the ASBK, the first round at Wakefield Park (NSW) on 17-19 March 2017.

The decision on the tyre was no easy task with an exhaustive day’s tyre testing at Winton Raceway (Vic) recently, with three junior riders taking part to record their feedback on a variety of performance parameters from six different tyre brands to ascertain the best option for the task.

“I would really like to thank everyone who submitted a tyre for appraisal, their efforts reflect the desire of many in the sport to support junior road racing and build for the future.

“There is also a great synergy with Bridgestone as the company produced a similar tyre which Josh Brookes and Wayne Maxwell competed on when they commenced their road racing careers as juniors all those years ago.
